I'm the person who believes in himself

enough to put boots on the ground, smiles on faces,

and merchandise in hand.
Why? Because there is a child eager to hear my voice

saying "it will be okay," a mother longing for my hug,

a sister searching for reassured love,

and a brother looking to be supported.

I'm a reminder of what it looks like to love and be loved;

and to share it as much as I produce it.
